I know, I know, you can and should build antennas yourself. It’s fun to do. But I have very limited workshop room and tools to do so. So I got myself a nice EAntenna 80-6m off-center fed dipole which I plan to use this weekend at the PACC-contest.
An OCF nearly resonates on several bands, but you have to make choices and sacrifice some bands. In my case the 15m band is missing, which I find an essential band for contesting. What to do? While browsing for solutions, I saw Hari antennas has an add-on kit for 30 & 15m. Why didn’t I think of that myself, hi.
So I got 10m of twin-lead, which makes the 9.4m and 4.7m legs required for 15 and 30m. I hope I won’t forget to bring my analyzer to the field! It will delay the start-time for the contest a bit, but I am already starting late. Never mind! Getting on 15m is the important thing here.

See you in the contest!
